Nehemiah Education Fund, an Ohio SGO, provides financial assistance for families that want an excellent, high-quality education at a private school whose goals and values align with their own. Typically, private schools are funded through tuition, fundraisers, and donations rather than real estate taxes, becoming a burden to families. The Nehemiah Education Fund helps make an exceptional education an affordable reality.
Donate your Tax Dollars
Ohio Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs) make scholarships possible by providing Ohio taxpayers an incentive to donate to a nonprofit-certified SGO and in return receive an offsetting tax benefit when filing their income taxes (limitations apply).
How it’s possible.
Donors are assured that all contributions to Nehemiah Education Fund go to schools that have been thoroughly vetted, guaranteeing students are receiving an exceptional education that promotes Christian principles, values, and Bible study.
Each school is reviewed annually to maintain their compliant and approved status. Students who have been, or will be, attending the approved schools are eligible to apply for financial assistance through the scholarship program. The Nehemiah Education Fund administers the scholarships in conjunction with the sanctioned schools. Specific preference will be given to students from households whose income is less than 300% of the federal poverty level, though all students are eligible to apply.

Step 2
Nehemiah Education Fund will issue a tax-deductible receipt by January 31 for all funds postmarked the prior calendar year.
Step 3
Receive your tax benefit when filing your income taxes in the spring.

Submit the required fields to request a donation form, which will be sent to your email. Mail your check and the completed form to Nehemiah Education Fund.
How Can I Apply for a Scholarship?
Scholarship applications will be provided through all approved schools. Please contact your school directly to ensure approval through the Nehemiah Education Fund. In addition to providing the application, they will be able to answer questions related to programs and costs that are not within the jurisdiction of the Nehemiah Education Fund. Completed applications must be sent directly to the approved school for consideration.
